2014 Pennsylvania Groundwater Symposium scheduled for May 7

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Symposium theme will be “Building Groundwater Knowledge Through Monitoring.”

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The 2014 Pennsylvania Groundwater Symposium will take place May 7 at the Ramada Inn Conference Center in State College, Pa., according to an article by NorthcentralPA.com.

The Symposium has been organized in celebration of National Drinking Water Week, noted the article, by Penn State Extension's Master Well Owner Network, the Department of Environmental Protection and the Pennsylvania Ground Water Association.

The Symposium theme will be "Building Groundwater Knowledge Through Monitoring," the article continued, providing a forum for researchers, students, professionals and educators working in the groundwater field to exchange information and promote protection of groundwater resources throughout the state.

The symposium will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 7 with a keynote presentation focusing on groundwater monitoring, reported the article, and feature a number of sessions and a buffet lunch throughout the day.

According to the article, there will be a nominal registration fee of $30 for the symposium.
