COMOX, BRITISH COLUMBIA — Parents of a young boy believe he is suffering from eczema caused by their untreated well water, which tested high for sulfur and iron, a March 2 Comox Valley Record story said.
The parents said that after they stopped their son from bathing in the well water, his condition improved. Their son now bathes in bottled water, according to the article.
The parents recently asked the Comox lawmakers to consider allowing their water to fall within a Comox border so that it can be treated better than it is where they currently reside, the story said.
Lawmakers are reviewing the request, but said it involves a lot of red tape and will not be an easy decision, the article said.
The town staff has asked the council to not approve the requests, according to the article.
