HARDIN, Ill. — The village of Hardin, Ill. has come up with a plan to fix its water problems by replacing the media in sand filters, according to The Telegraph.
The plan presented by Trustee Tony Friedel will replace the media in all three filters at the village water plant and when that is finished the water will be tested and approved, stated the article.
“It was the wrong media from the get-go,” Friedel said after Monday''s Village Board meeting. “The filters weren''t collecting anything. They weren''t taking the iron or magnesium out of the water.”
