COLUMBUS, Ohio — If New York decides to approve horizontal drilling, the state of Ohio could start receiving fracking wastewater as a result, according to The Vindicator.
Ohio, which already receives large amounts of fracking wastewater from Pennsylvania, could be set to relieve the state of New York from this issue because of its 176 wells, stated the article.
“I guess most people feel it’s OK to be the dumping ground of the New England states,” said state Rep. Robert F. Hagan of Youngstown, D-60th. “I don’t feel very comfortable with that.”
