Cameroon signs a multimillion dollar water project agreement

YAOUNDE, Cameroon — Imperial Holding will build a water treatment plant in Mefou, south of Yaounde, that will supply more than 13 million gallons of water (50,000 cubic meters) to the city.

YAOUNDE, Cameroon — Cameroon, located in Central Africa, signed a $93 million agreement with Imperial Holding Ltd. for a potable water supply project near the country’s capital of Yaounde, according to a press release.

Imperial Holding will build a water treatment plant in Mefou, south of Yaounde, which will supply more than 13 million gallons of water (50,000 cubic meters) to the city, stated the release.

The release reported that for areas without running water, over 5 million gallons (20,000 cubic feet) of additional water will be provided in five-gallon containers.

Imperial will run the project for 15 years before turning it over to the government, noted the release.
