GADSDEN, Ala. — A festival at Gadsden State Community College will bring together 1,300 fourth grade students to teach them about the value of water and how to protect it, according to The Gadsden Times.

The 11th annual Etowah County Water Festival is sponsored by Keep Etowah Beautiful Inc., the Etowah County Soil and Water Conservation District, Gadsden State Community College, the city of Gadsden and the Gadsden Water Works and Sewer Board, stated the article.

Sarah Butterworth, Middle Coosa Watershed projects coordinator, said the festival will show children where the water originates and how to protect it through different classes set up at the festival, according to the article.
