FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif. — A hydrogen fueling station opened by a specialty gas company Air Products draws feedstock from municipal wastewater, according to environmentalleader.com.

The wastewater sits in holding tanks at the Orange County Sanitation District in Fountain Valley, Calif., creating methane gas, stated the article.

The methane produced from the wastewater then enters a purification system that feeds into a fuel cell, built by FuelCell Engergy Inc. where it is then reformed into hydrogen, according to the article.
