WESTERVILLE, Ohio — Dec. 1, 2015 — The National Ground Water Association (NGWA) welcomed Charles A. Job, retired U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) drinking water official, as its new regulatory affairs manager, according to a press release.

Job worked with the EPA for more than 29 years, serving as the agency’s Infrastructure Branch chief since 2000, noted the release. He was involved in "standards and risk management, underground injection control, regulatory coordination and information collection."

In addition, Job was involved in groundwater protection and water quality standards planning for EPA Region V, stated the release. He was among the first participants of the National Ground-Water Monitoring Network.

"Job’s knowledge and abilities will be great assets to NGWA and its members as the Association strives for policies good for America and the groundwater professions," NGWA CEO Kevin McCray said in the release. "So much of being heard in Washington involves having sound policy initiatives and then effectively communicating them to the decision-makers. Chuck will help NGWA make that happen."

Job has experience working for major U.S. corporations as well as in environmental consulting and government natural resources and planning agencies, reported the release. He is the author of Groundwater Economics, published in 2010.
