DENVER — The Board of Directors of the American Water Works Association (AWWA) announced the election of Jim Chaffee, a Wisconsin-based engineer with the global firm Jacobs, as the Association’s next president-elect, according to a press release.

Chaffee will assume his new position at AWWA’s Annual Conference & Exposition (ACE12) in Dallas in June, and will begin his year-long term as president in 2013, noted the release.

A registered professional engineer in six states, Chaffee earned his bachelors of science degree in civil engineering and his MBA from the University of Wisconsin, stated the release.

“I look forward to helping the association continue our mission as the authoritative resource for water, while embracing technology and addressing the needs of younger members,” Chaffee said.
