ST. CLAIR, Mich. — A request proposal has been issued for operation and maintenance of the city’s water and wastewater treatment plants and systems, which could lead to the loss of jobs for plant employees, according to The Times Herald.

“Well, we're all a little bit concerned,” said Keith Eisen, a 53-year-old water plant supervisor. “We don't know if they do privatize if they'll keep the current employees or let us all go. ... Everyone's been kind of stressed out here.”

The council sent out requests for the contracting to run the plants and have asked companies to submit proposals and costs by March 23, noted the article.
