CLARKSVILLE, Ind. — Several challenges have surfaced before work can start at Clarksville’s Wastewater Treatment Plant, according to NewsandTribune.com.

The latest news was announced at a work session following the usual Clarksville Town Council meeting, stated the article, when Clarksville Project Coordinator Brittany Montgomery said an archeological site was discovered in Midway Park, which is adjacent to the plant.

Montgomery and other officials are currently weighing their options for the historic site, continued the article

According to the article, plans could be delayed further depending on which direction the officials take.

“This is all contingent on the State Historic Preservation Officer approving it,” Montgomery said. “We could say we want to do the buffer ... and the historic preservation officer could still come back at us and still require us to do the phase-two [study].”
