VALPARAISO, Ind. — A northern Indiana man became ill and died yesterday after working on a tank at Valaparaiso’s water treatment plant, The Associated Press reported.

Donald Nowell, 38, complained of nausea and was taken to a hospital following work that involved the use of epoxy material to make repairs inside a tank, the article stated.

An autopsy revealed that Nowell’s lungs were heavily damaged, but it was not clear if the condition was caused by the chemicals or unrelated health problems, according to the story.
