Seccua has introduced its Intelligent X-Spot Pro ultrafiltration system for removing pathogens and turbidity in a single step at the point of entry. The company says the system is well-suited for households, small systems, and food-service businesses; it removes more than 99.99 percent of all pathogens, including viruses, Legionella and E. coli.

The X-Spot Pro has an intelligent control to prevent damage to the membrane due to pressure surges. Its hollow-fiber SeccuMem Pro membrane is made of high-performance material with a pore size of 15 nanometers. To minimize water consumption in self-cleaning, the X-Spot Pro automatically detects the degree of filter contamination by monitoring pressure differential as a function of flow rate, only flushing when necessary. The Seccua X-Spot Pro comes in two models: model 500 filters at a rate of 4.5 gpm (17 liters/min) and model 1000 filters at 9.5 gpm (36 l/min).
