KEMPNER, TX — A water shortage is facing over 50,000 residents throughout central Texas, according to a
KCEN-TV/DT story.
Severe weather on June 1 damaged a Central Texas Water Corp.’s electrical transfer switch, and water production has been reduced from about 8.5 million gallons of water a day to about 5.5 million gallons a day.
The story said that notices went out to residents in the town of Kempner, asking them to conserve while repairs are being made.
Residents in Bell, Falls and Lampasas counties are also facing a water shortage if they do not start conserving water, the story reported.
