New Britain, CT — Avery’s Beverages, an old-fashioned soda bottling company based here, is now offering Woof Water, a bottled spring water made specifically for dogs and their owners, an October 28 story in The Herald reported.

Avery's, a 103-year-old, family-owned company — which also sells and delivers bottled water — said it will donate a portion of the bottled water’s proceeds to Our Companions Domestic Animal Sanctuary, a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending the euthanasia of healthy animals.

It’s “hydration for hounds and their humans,” Rob Metz, the company’s manager, told The Herald.

Avery’s also sells a line of “totally gross sodas,” according to its Web site, including the orange-lemon flavored “Dog Drool Soda,” which inspired Woof Water, according to Metz.
