WASHINGTON — President Obama’s 2011 budget proposal is requesting $3.3 billion for the US Environmental Agency’s (EPA) Clean Water and Drinking Water State Revolving Funds (SRFs) and an unprecedented $1.3 billion to help states and tribes protect their air, water and land, according to a press release.
The budget, which has not yet been approved by Congress, also seeks $274 million for state water pollution control grants, a $45 million increase, the release stated.
In total, the president has requested a record $10 billion for the EPA, according to the release.
