LONDON — An investigation has been launched into possible chemical contamination of two bottles of Volvic mineral water, produced by Danone Waters, the Daily Mail reported on Oct. 25.
The investigation is stemming from a complaint a woman made about feeling a burning sensation after drinking the water, the report said.
According to the article, tests of the water revealed that it contained traces of naphthalene that officials said were at a very low level and would not pose a health risk.
Danone Waters said it is actively investigating the cause of the problem and that it was an isolated incident, the article said.
