SPRING VALLEY, Ill. — The city of Spring Valley, Ill. is ready to move on with improvements for its wastewater treatment plant, but first damages from 2008 need to be repaired, according to the News Tribune.

At a council meeting Monday night $750,000 was awarded to cover the repairs at the plant, which include a dike around the lagoon, a culvert and a generator, stated the article.

Improvements for the plant won’t take place before the summer and these include upgrading the performance of reverse osmosis membranes before new membranes are installed, according to the article.
