Entrants for Desalination Plant of the Year, for the desal plant commissioned during 2013 that represents the most impressive technical, financial or ecologically sustainable achievement in the industry, include: Jebel Ali Station M, UAE; Sorek, Israel; Swansea Desal Plant, USA; and Tuaspring, Singapore, the article reported.

Desalination Company of the Year entrants, for the desalination plant supplier that made the greatest overall contribution to the industry in 2013, include: Doosan Heavy Industries/Doosan Hydro; IDE Technologies; Qatar Electricity & Water Company; and Seven Seas Water, noted the article.

For the deal closed during 2013 which represents the most significant step forward for the industry in terms of financial innovation or in meeting the demands of challenging circumstances, entrants for Desalination Deal of the Year include: Az-Zour North 1 IWPP, Kuwait; Paraquita Bay, British Virgin Islands; Shuweihat S2 refinancing, UAE; and Victorian Desal Plant refinancing, Australia, continued the release.

The entrants for Water Reuse Project of the Year, for the water reuse project that represents the most significant achievement for the industry in 2013, include: Big Spring, USA; Naked Stables water reuse, China; Pilbara water recycling plants, Australia; and Billund BioRefinery, Denmark, according to the article.
