2015 U.S. Water Prize winners to be honored during ceremony and reception

WASHINGTON — The U.S. Water Prize Awards Ceremony, presented by the U.S. Water Alliance, will take place at the National Geographic Society Headquarters on Monday, April 13, at 6 p.m. EDT.

WASHINGTON — The U.S. Water Alliance announced the U.S. Water Prize winners will be honored during a ceremony and reception on Monday, April 13, according to a press release.

The U.S. Water Prize Awards Ceremony, presented by the U.S. Water Alliance, will take place at the National Geographic Society Headquarters on Monday, at 6 p.m. EDT, stated the release.

This year’s U.S. Water Prize will celebrate the work of three organizations that have each made a substantial achievement in the advancement of sustainable solutions to the U.S.’s water quantity and quality challenges, reported the release.

Winners of the prize are The Coca-Cola Company, the city of San Diego Public Utilities Department and the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), continued the release.

The keynote address will be given by Under Secretary of Commerce for Oceans and Atmosphere and NOAA Administrator Kathryn D. Sullivan, Ph.D., noted the release.
