ST. LOUIS — Aclara Technologies LLC announced Kurt Bruenning has joined the company as the chief financial officer and senior vice president of finance, accounting, information technology and legal functions, according to a press release.

Bruenning has a widespread leadership background with over 17 years of experience in corporate finance, accounting, mergers and acquisitions, public reporting, treasury, financial planning and analysis, risk management, private equity transactions, operations finance and capital markets, stated the release.

Prior to his position with Aclara, Bruenning was vice president of finance and treasury at Foresight Energy LP and was responsible for all aspects of corporate finance, reported the release.

He also served as the vice president and treasurer at MEMC Electronic Materials, continued the release.

Bruenning received a Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of Missouri in St. Louis and a Master of Business Administration from St. Louis University, noted the release.

“Kurt brings a wealth of expertise leading and managing financial functions in large and growing businesses,” said Aclara President and CEO Allan Connolly. “His knowledge and experience will provide financial and strategic leadership to expand our customer base and develop smart infrastructure solutions that add intelligence to areas of utility distribution networks that are now dark.”
