STUART, Fla. — The memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed with both the Water Environment Federation (WEF) and the WateReuse Association will allow the American Membrane Technology Association (AMTA) to introduce membrane technology to industrial and reuse audiences.

STUART, Fla. — The American Membrane Technology Association (AMTA) announced two new cooperative agreements with the Water Environment Federation (WEF) and the WateReuse Association to expand the promotion of membrane applications and technologies, according to a press release.

The agreements permit AMTA to offer specific expertise related to membrane processes to wider and new audiences within WEF and WateReuse, stated the release.

“AMTA recognizes the unique value that WateReuse and WEF bring to their respective memberships, and the collaboration outlined under the memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed with both organizations will further strengthen AMTA’s voice and influence in addressing legislative and regulatory challenges within the industry,” reported the release.

The MOU, continued the release, includes: Collaboration on the advancements of membrane technology within the industry; cooperation and collaborative communication at the national level and the development of communications at the local level; and exploring cooperation on joint programs and projects.

The ability to introduce membrane technology to an expanded audience and to promote the advantages of membranes and related systems to the industrial and reuse markets, added the release, benefits AMTA members and members of AMTA affiliates.

The agreements will in turn allow WEF and WateReuse to take advantage of AMTA’s expertise and networking connections to strengthen their technical programs and conferences, noted the release.
