CANONSBURG, Pa. — Aquatech, a global leader in water and wastewater technologies for the industrial and infrastructure markets, was recently honored by a major U.S. utility with its Triangle Safety Award, which recognizes contractors who demonstrate exceptional safety performance at plant construction sites, according to a press release.

To be considered for the Triangle Safety Award, the recipient must meet a rigorous set of standards that include working a minimum of 100,000 hours on the project in one year without any lost time due to injuries or interruption to the plant operations, the release reported.

Additionally, the recipient's performance must have met or bettered OSHA's recordable incident rate, noted the release.

"Aquatech is proud to receive this prestigious award, presented by one of the largest utility companies in the U.S. This honor acknowledges the tireless efforts and dedication of our team on the Kemper County integrated gasification combined cycle (IGCC) power plant in achieving that goal while also meeting or exceeding our customer's exacting safety standards," said Patrick Randall, director for the North American market.

"The Kemper County project attests to our capability to take on complex water projects around the world with cutting-edge technologies. Aquatech is committed to exceeding our customer's expectations in all aspects of work from project execution to start-up, and we have a top team to ensure these projects are produced and constructed safely," he added.
