DENVER — The American Water Works Association (AWWA) will offer a webinar titled, “Preparing for Ebola in the Water Sector,” focusing on Ebola risks and precautions for drinking water and wastewater employees, according to a press release.

The webinar, scheduled for 1 to 2 p.m. (EST) on Nov. 6, will include experts’ perspectives on current Ebola research relating to wastewater and drinking water operations, stated the release.

The webinar will discuss the most recent safety guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and EPA, added the release.

The release reported that in addition to guidelines for safety and operations, the webinar will also highlight principles for pandemic planning as part of an all-hazard risk management plan for business stability and operational resilience.

The webinar, complimentary to AWWA members, requires prior registration and those who are interested can register on AWWA’s website, noted the release.
