EAST HARTFORD, Conn. — Melissa Carserino has joined BioSafe Systems LLC as a research engineer/project manager with a primary focus on new product development, according to a press release.

In her new position, Carserino will work to develop and engineer new products to add to BioSafe Systems’ extensive product line for meat and poultry, horticulture and agriculture, stated the release.

Carserino will also assist in the “day-to-day management of production and procurement schedules,” continued the release.

Prior to her new position with BioSafe Systems, reported the release, Carserino was a technical sales service engineer and product and market analyst for Chemtura Corporation.

She received a degree in chemical engineering from the University of Connecticut and an MBA from Rensselaer Poly Tech University, noted the release.

“I’m excited to join a company that focuses on environmentally responsible pathogen control solutions,” said Carserino. “The story behind the company is one that I admire, and I hope to continue to help BioSafe Systems grow.”
