CH2M HILL recognized for tunneling design

LONDON — The firm was recognized by the International Tunneling and Underground Space Association awards.

LONDON — CH2M HILL recently won three prestigious International Tunneling and Underground Space Association awards in recognition of project successes and contribution to tunneling design across the globe, according to a press release.

CH2M HILL was named Global Tunneling Design Firm of the Year, the release reported.

The District of Columbia Water and Sewer Authority's Blue Plains Tunnel, for which CH2M HILL was the lead designer, was honored in the Technical Innovation of the Year category, the release noted.

The release also reported that the National Grid Cable Tunnels project, for which CH2M HILL was also the lead designer, won Environmental Initiative of the Year.
