BEAVER DAM, Wis. — The City of Moline, Wis. has awarded the contract for an ultraviolet (UV) system provider to Engineered Treatment Systems, LLC of Beaver Dam, according to a press release.

The system will be made up of eight of the ETS SX-635-16 drinking water reactors installed after existing filters in the facility, reported the release.

Because water that feeds the facility draws from an 85,000 square mile agricultural watershed and the Mississippi River to provide water to a population of 43,500 people, the UV disinfection barrier necessary, and also cost advantageous, the release noted.

"The City is pleased to have ETS as our partner for this important project," said Greg Swanson, Moline Utilities general manager. "We have found the ETS team to be knowledgeable, responsive and goal oriented during the multi-year process that led to the selection of the ETS SX-635-16 reactors for our demanding drinking water application."
