COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Round Rock Utility Crew Leader Rick Whisenant has been recognized as a Certified Water Professional (CWP) by the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX), according to a press release.

The CWP certification, which represents the highest professional credential in the water utilities field, is a culmination of many years of experience and a minimum of 225 hours of classroom training through TEEX in water and wastewater treatment, operations and maintenance, management, safety, laboratory and other areas specific to the water utilities industry, stated the release.

The release continued that TEEX applauds Whisenant for his CWP achievement and for his dedication to provide safe drinking water to his community and the citizens of Texas.

TEEX, an international component agency of the Texas A&M University System, offers on-site, customized training and services to businesses and industries, municipalities and public agencies, noted the release.
