Deadline for Imagine H20’s 2012 Consumer Innovations Competition is Nov. 15

WASHINGTON — This year’s competition will primarily target innovations related to water efficiency and quality.

WASHINGTON — This year’s Imagine H20’s 2012 Consumer Innovations Competition is looking for people who have an idea that changes the way millions of people use water you. The deadline to submit ideas is Nov. 15, according to a press release.

Imagine H2O’s Consumer Innovations Program supports entrepreneurs and startups with promising water solutions for individuals. 

This year's competition will primarily target innovations related to water efficiency and quality, noted the release.

Examples include filtration, onsite reuse and recycling, efficient fixtures and appliances, outdoor irrigation, home leak detection, water usage monitoring tools and other residential or personal solutions. 

The consumer market also represents an opportunity to deploy decentralized solutions in communities with stressed or non-existent water infrastructure and supplies, stated the release.

• Over $200,000 in cash prizes and in-kind services awarded to the winning companies
