Desolenator achieves success in ongoing fundraising campaign

LONDON — Desolenator, now at the prototype stage, is a third of the way through its Indiegogo fundraising campaign to enhance the prototype and increase product development in preparation for mass production, with a goal to ship the products by October 2015.

LONDON — Desolenator announced it is preparing for mass production as a result of the success of its ongoing fundraising campaign, according to a press release.

The release stated that Desolenator uses the power of the sun to transform seawater and contaminated water into purified drinking water.

The UN Water GLAAS 2014 Report revealed that 748 million people lack access to “improved drinking water” and 1.8 billion people are projected to use a contaminated source of drinking water, continued the release.

“Climate change and population growth are setting the stage for a global water crisis,” said Desolenator CEO William Janssen. “A massive 97 percent of the world’s water is salt water, and our plan is to tap into this valuable and available resource, disrupting the global water crisis in an unprecedented way.”
