ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. — Scalewatcher North America Inc. announced that following the installation of the patented, computerized electronic water conditioner from Scalewatcher, Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) is saving thousands of dollars a year on costly maintenance and early renewal of equipment, according to a press release.
After the success of the first installation, 10 more devices have now been installed at other fire stations, saving OCFA approximately $1,500 every year for each firehouse fitted with the Scalewatcher system, stated the release.
The release reported that OCFA, with a local dealer, initially arranged to install the electronic water conditioner on the main water inlet to its facility located in Irvine, California.
“The success of the first installation resulted in us purchasing four further units and then subsequently another six,” said OCFA Facilities Manager Steve Klein. “I will be ordering more Scalewatcher units when my budget allows me to purchase them. We have saved thousands of dollars on expensive maintenance. To date our systems are as clear as the day they were installed.”
OCFA, a regional fire service agency serving 22 cities in Orange County, protects more than 1.4 million residents from 66 fire stations, noted the release.
