EAST SUSSEX, England — BlueTech® Research is hosting a “Web-Briefing™" titled, “Biosolids management in China – the good, the bad and the ugly,” on opportunities and trends in China’s biosolids treatment market, according to a press release.

The biosolids online event, the latest in a series of webinars hosted by BlueTech, will take place Jan. 29 at 10 a.m. EST and can be streamed live or watched on demand, stated the release.

The 90-minute webinar will be held in conjunction with Cornerstone China Advisors — a China-based water industry consultancy, continued the release.

The release reported that China is the third largest producer of biosolids in the world and has the largest infrastructure gap regarding sludge management infrastructure and solutions, and recent heavy investment indicates wastewater treatment plants are projected to rise to around 6,000 by the end of 2015.

In the next five years, added the release, the investment into sludge treatment in China is estimated to be around $1.64 billion.

The webinar will focus on current trends, market size and the “regulatory landscape” for biosolids stabilization/reduction solutions, as well as examine the future market to identify emerging opportunities, noted the release.
