Dow infographic addresses world hunger through advanced technology

MIDLAND, Mich. — According to Dow Water & Process Solutions’ infographic, the world will need 30 percent more water, 40 percent more energy and 50 percent more food by 2030.

MIDLAND, Mich. — An infographic released by Dow Water & Process Solutions illustrates how advanced ion exchange resin technology can help address world hunger.

According to the infographic, the world will need 30 percent more water, 40 percent more energy and 50 percent more food by 2030.

“Demands on scarce resources including water, energy and raw materials can be reduced by as much as 15 percent when advanced technology and expertise [are] used,” the infographic explained.

Food stability, reported the infographic, can be improved by using ion exchange resins, which allow for less food waste.

“Using ion exchange resins to process food ingredients can help decrease process waste by as much as 20 percent,” noted the infographic.
