National Ground Water Research and Educational Foundation seeks grant applications

WESTERVILLE, Ohio — Applications for the grants will be accepted through June 30, and the grants will be announced on or before Oct. 1.

WESTERVILLE, Ohio — The National Ground Water Research and Educational Foundation (NGWREF) announced it is seeking grant applications for groundwater research as well as water supply projects and educational programs in developing nations, according to a press release.

The NGWREF grants approved $15,000 for the research grants, or the Groundwater Research Fund, and $35,000 for the developing nations grants, or the Developing Nations Fund, stated the release.

The Groundwater Research Fund provides funding for cutting-edge research projects that inspire new knowledge, programs, information and products to advance groundwater technology and science, continued the release.

The Developing Nations Fund provides small assistance grants to benefit “the quality of life for people without access to plentiful potable groundwater,” and the funds can be used for an education and training program related to water well systems or for a groundwater supply grant, reported the release.

Applications will be accepted through June 30, and the grants will be announced on or before Oct. 1, noted the release.
