BRECKSVILLE, Ohio — UIM: Water Utility Infrastructure Management (UIM) announced it will host its first Water Finance Conference Sept. 1-2 at the Great Lakes Science Center in Cleveland, Ohio, according to a press release.

The theme of the conference is “Innovative Strategies for Funding Water, Wastewater and Stormwater Infrastructure,” and the event is aimed at reaching municipal finance offers and utility CFOs within those three areas, stated the release.

The conference will feature panel discussions and presentations covering private financing and private capital investment for public utilities, rate setting and affordability as well as trends in public utility financing, reported the release.

“Without a doubt, finding money to solve our water infrastructure problems is the biggest challenge facing our cities,” said UIM CEO and Publisher Bernie Krzys. “There are many innovative methods available to consider in addressing these finance issues. To bring a focus to this, we are holding the first annual Water Finance Conference.
