Industrial Test Systems Inc. (ITS) announced the worldwide release of the Smart Brew™ Kit and Smart Brew Advanced™ Kit, the world’s first handheld, smart photometer systems for measuring the craft brewer’s water quality. Using the patented eXact iDip® Smart Photometer System, the two kits are the first and only to integrate two–way wireless communication with a smartphone. The multilingual app is the brain of the system, which allows limitless possibilities including lab accuracy, free upgrades, test customization (over 35 available), mobile sharing and data organization. The kits measure the key parameters for making the beer taste best: Calcium hardness, chloride, magnesium hardness, pH, sodium, sulfate, total alkalinity and total hardness. These smart photometer systems are the first meters designed for the craft brew market that directly calculates these values with no math required.
