Alliance for Water Efficiency announces upcoming webinar

CHICAGO — The webinar will take place May 13 at 12 p.m. EDT.

CHICAGO — The Alliance for Water Efficiency (AWE), in partnership with Oxford University and the University of Chicago, will be conducting an hour webinar evaluating conservation programs and the value of randomized control trials, according to information provided by AWE.

“This webinar will offer an overview of behavioral economics, provide a primer on how water management professionals can benefit from doing randomized controlled trials and summarize some actual experiments,” stated information on AWE’s website, www.allianceforwaterefficiency.org. “We will then have a conversation about ways academics might partner with you to test, design and deliver innovative and effective water programs for the public.”

The webinar, “Water Conservation Strategies: Experimenting Together to Find Out What Works,” will take place May 13 at 12 p.m. EDT (11 a.m. Central).

Presenters include: Dr. Robert Metcalfe, postdoctoral scholar, Becker Friedman Institute at the University of Chicago; Mary Ann Dickinson, president and CEO of AWE; and professor Robert Hahn, director of Economics at Oxford Smith School.

The webinar is free for AWE members in good standing and $40 for nonmembers.
