SAN FRANCISCO — Water.org is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to providing access to safe water and sanitation.

SAN FRANCISCO — The Smart H2O Summit announced it will donate five percent of the conference registration fees to Water.org as well as encourage attendees and exhibitors of the event to make additional donations, according to a press release.

Water.org, for over 25 years, has pioneered safe water and sanitation solutions, changing lives every day, stated the release.

“We are delighted to make a contribution to such an important and worthwhile cause,” said Smart H2O Summit Event Director Jane McDermott. “Smart H2O [Summit’s] and Water.org’s goals are closely aligned, as both organizations are dedicated to helping communities find better solutions to providing clean water.”

Smart H20 Summit, informed McDermott, will also establish an online fundraiser where interested parties can donate to Water.org before, during and after the event, reported the release.

At the event, McDermott will also raffle Water.org water bottles to help bring safe drinking water to developing countries, noted the release.

“Water.org is honored to have Smart H2O Summit and its attendees take action to help us further our work,” said Christopher Reimer of brand at marketing at Water.org. “The funds raised through the event will help families around the world access safe water and sanitation.”
