MILWAUKEE — Badger Meter released recommendations on the latest metering technologies municipalities, utilities and other water suppliers in California can begin using to comply with state-mandated actions, according to a press release.
Following California Gov. Jerry Brown’s statewide mandatory water restrictions, which called for a 25 percent reduction of water usage through February 2016, Badger Meter outlines new technologies that are “making water usage visible in California,” stated the release.
Section 17 in the new mandates calls for the implementation of monitoring and software technology for water use, reported the release, and BEACON® Advanced Metering Analytics (AMA), Badger Meter’s latest offering, provides water suppliers with the opportunity to immediately and cost-effectively respond to state-mandated actions through cloud-based software and cellular metering technology.
