DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. — The Wishing Well International Foundation (WWIF) announced that the nonprofit organization’s fourth golf tournament, held for the second time at the Revere Golf Club located in Henderson, Nevada, was a success, according to a press release.
Each year for the past four years, the WWIF event has preceded WQA Aquatech USA, generating donations and publicity for WWIF and the organization’s global mission to provide clean drinking water for developing areas, stated the release.
All nine of the WWIF event’s major sponsors were companies well acquainted with the Water Quality Association (WQA) and WWIF, reported the release.
“This was one of the best charity tournaments I’ve ever participated in,” said Bob Maisner, vice president of sales and marketing at Paragon Water and member of WQA Board of Governors. “The course was wonderful, [and] the event was well planned and executed. Also, [I] can’t forget that the weather was ideal for golf this year. We’re very happy to be involved with Wishing Well and support [its] mission.”
Known as the “10-1-10” message, the ongoing WWIF mission is that for every $10 donation, clean drinking water will be provided to one person for 10 years, noted the release.
