BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Motion Industries’ Pensacola, Fla., service center recently became a Gold Level Timken Bearing Certified Shop for 2015, according to a press release.

Timken Company associates audited the shop, noted the release. The certification signifies the service center “adheres to Timken standards for bearing removal and handling, cleaning and inspection, analysis of bearing damage, bearing setting and adjustment, and bearing storage.”

Shop employees were also trained by Timken “in the proper cleaning, inspection and storage of wheel bearings,” stated the release.

“It is truly extraordinary for a shop to pass the pre-audit with a Bronze Certification, and then be awarded the Gold Level after the ‘official’ audit, especially considering this is the shop’s first year of the Timken audit process,” said Kendall Lambert, Motion Industries’ vice president/general manager of the territory, in the release.

“The outstanding efforts of our Pensacola team reflect Motion’s ongoing commitment to quality service,” added Randy Breaux, Motion Industries’ senior vice president, southern U.S. operations, corporate marketing and strategic planning, in the release. “Their hard work, focus and dedication resulted in this significant achievement.”

The Timken Company markets and manufactures bearings, transmission, gearboxes, chain and related products, in addition to offering powertrain rebuild and repair services, reported the release.

Motion Industries distributes industrial parts such as bearings through 15 distribution centers to more than 150,000 customers, shared the release.
