ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Early registration for the 18th Annual Water Reuse and Desalination Research Conference closes Friday, April 4, the last chance to get early-bird registration discounts, according to a press release.

The conference will be held in Las Vegas on May 19-20, and feature a comprehensive program highlighting the latest research and emerging solutions to combat future water scarcity issues, noted the release.

More than 60 podium and poster presentations will create a forum for water professionals and researchers to network and discuss research needs and trends, the release reported.

According to the release, the core research topic areas to be discussed include the following: DPR and IPR demonstration projects, energy reduction for desalination, membrane research and fouling, nitrosamines and perfluorinated compounds, overcoming obstacles in desalination, real time monitoring for DPR, successful industrial reuse case studies, sustainability and gaining acceptance and water quality and resources recovering.

The two-day event will also include a tour of the City of Henderson’s Southwest Water Reclamation Facility, networking luncheons, a reception and a panel discussion on direct potable reuse, continued the release.
