WASHINGTON — Registration for a free, one-day cybersecurity workshop and response exercise sponsored by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is now available, according to an American Water Works Association (AWWA) news release.

The cybersecurity workshop will teach water utilities about the cyber threat, how to manage the threat and available tools, such as AWWA’s cybersecurity tool, stated the release.

Current results from several Virginia waterworks cyber assessments, continued the release, will also be presented to share lessons learned.

The free workshop is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in five different states during April and May, noted the release.
