WESTERVILLE, Ohio — The National Ground Water Association (NGWA) announced that NGWA CEO Kevin McCray, CAE, has been appointed to the federal Environmental Technologies Trade Advisory Committee (ETTAC), according to the press release.

McCray, in addition to representing NGWA, will represent the trade association segment of the U.S. environmental technology sector, stated the release.

Under the U.S. Department of Commerce, ETTAC is charged with developing “actionable recommendations to improve the export competitiveness of environmental technologies,” continued the release.

McCray’s appointment, reported the release, is effective immediately and will run through Aug. 18, 2016.

“There are vast markets for U.S. environmental technology products and expertise, and I am committed to maximizing such opportunities for members of NGWA and other trade associations,” said McCray. “Our country has been a leader in addressing many environmental challenges, and what we have learned and produced as a result is very marketable to the world.”

The committee was established in 1994 by Congress under the Jobs Through Trade Expansion Act, noted the release.
