EWQA Water Systems Training event registration open

DOVER, Del. — The event will take place May 1 in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.

DOVER, Del. — Registration is open for the Eastern Water Quality Association's (EWQA) Water Treatment Systems Training event, to take place May 1 in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., according to a press release.

The all-day event includes registration starting at 7:30 a.m., educational sessions starting at 8 a.m. and running until 4 p.m., with time for lunch with exhibitors from noon until 2 p.m., the release reported.

According to the release, the schedule for the training event includes: "When a Private Water System Becomes Public," by Kristine Wheeler, P.E. NYSDIH Glens Falls District Office; "Cross-Connection: What, Where, When and How of Backflow," by Dave Rieth, Water Specialties Co.; "Chemical Feed Systems and Disinfection," by Ronald Wakefield, Cyclops Water Treatment Equipment; "Metering Pumps — Basic Designs and Maintenance," by Mike Pilcher, president, Don Shaw Associates; "Water Analysis — EPA and New York Regulations," by Brian Collins & John Wilson; "Arsenic Overview and Treatment," by Senator Russell Prescott, VP, Russell Prescott Co. Inc.; "Radon and Water Treatment Methods," by Senator Russell Prescott; "Strategic Ideas to Increase UV Sales and Service," by Carol Russell, president, Water Treatment Accessories; "pH Effects of Choride Form & Anion Resins," by Bill Koebel, ResinTech, Northeast technical sales rep; WQA testing and certification and opportunities to visit with industry experts to learn about new technologies and equipment.

Additionally, continued the release, WQA's Dean Jarog will present "Water Treatment Basics" on April 30, with testing during the event on May 1.
