EWQA’s Lancaster show and conference to move next year

DOVER, Del. — The conference, which has taken place in Lancaster, Pa. for years, will move to Baltimore in 2014.

DOVER, Del. — The Eastern Water Quality Association (EWQA) Show and Conference took place this Sept. 25-27 in Lancaster, Pa. with a new format that allowed exhibitors and trainees to witness other events, according to a press release.

The first day involved "Basics of Water Treatment" training by Dr. Tanya Lubner, an outing to Overlook Golf Course and EWQA's welcome reception, according to the release.

Thursday involved WQA Certification testing by Dr. Lubner and a wide-range of presentations, continued the release, including "How to Navigate the Legislative Process" by Senator Russell Prescott of R.E. Prescott Co.; "Fracking and What it Means" by geologist Brian Oram of BF Environmental and "How to Make Drinking Water a Central Part of Sales" by Brian Smith of Carroll Water Systems.

Richard Mest and Pauli Undesser of WQA gave the keynote address on topics ranging from final barrier to hydraulic fracking, stated the release.

Next year, WQA will move to a larger location in Baltimore, the Hunt Valley Inn, the release reported.
