AGOURA HILLS, Calif. — State Senator Fran Pavley (D-Agoura Hills) who is proposing legislation on “fracking” will speak about hydraulic fracturing at a July 16-17 conference in California.

This two day event is a one-stop-shop to hear all sides of the “fracking” controversy about the technology that can access oil locked in California’s Monterey Shale.

Organized by the non-profit American Ground Water Trust, this conference is an information exchange event with opportunity for Q & A among the audience and the presenters.

Expert speakers from government and private sector, including lawyers, environmental specialists, oil & gas industry and water industry professionals, will provide a balance of useful, defendable and informed opinion, noted the release.

The Conference will ask how the economic potential of Monterey Shale energy resources can be developed without impacting the long-term environmental sustainability of water supply sources and water-dependent ecosystems.
