PITTSBURGH — Ultra-pure water can contribute to the accurate analyzation of water samples.

PITTSBURGH — The U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) Arkansas Regional Laboratory has renewed a contract to allow Evoqua Water Technologies to supply the facility with its ultra-pure laboratory deionized water system, according to a press release.

The accurate analyzation of water samples is important to public health, noted the release. Ultra-pure water contributes to accuracy and suggestions for corrective actions.

The contract includes a five-year renewal agreement with the FDA, stated the release. Evoqua has previously supplied reverse osmosis, control systems and deionization to the lab. The company will also provide ongoing service of equipment and systems.

The 146,400-square-foot lab was built to reorganize the FDA’s 18 field laboratories in its Office of Regulatory Affairs, reported the release. The agency is part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
