LATHAM, N.Y. — As the group at Water Technology looks to become more active in social media by showing the appreciation of its supporters in the industry, we’ve decided to start a new segment in our daily newsletter called Follower Profile.

Each week we will be picking one company or person in the industry who decided to follow us on one of our social media outlets.

This week's pick is The Samburu Project (@samburuproject), a non-profit organization bringing clean, safe drinking water to people in Kenya as a foundation to further community development.

According to their website: Samburu women and girls walk up to 12 miles, or six hours, every day in search of water; investment in drinking water and sanitation would result in 272 million more school attendance days a year; water for irrigation and food production constitutes one of the greatest pressures on freshwater resources; and every 20 seconds, a child dies from a preventable water-related disease.

Please visit www.thesamburuproject.org or follow them on Twitter (@samburuproject) for more information.

We’d like to thank @samburuproject for the follow on Twitter and all of our supporters on the website and social media sites. Please remain active on all our sites and your company could be featured in our next newsletter.
