LATHAM, N.Y. — As the group at Water Technology looks to become more active in social media by showing the appreciation of its supporters in the industry, each week we will be picking one company or person in the industry who decided to follow us on one of our social media outlets.
This week's pick is The Water Institute at the University of Waterloo (@water_institute), which facilitates excellence in research, education and innovation in water science, technology, management and governance, according to its website.
The University of Waterloo has been actively involved in the sustainable management of the world's fragile water resources since 1957, according to its website, and is now recognized as a leader in aquatic ecology and toxicology, atmospheric and hydrological sciences, water and wastewater treatment and water policy, management and governance.
According to its website, the Water Institute was formed in 2009 to assist in coordinating the University's water-related research and goals.
